Alex Guitar (roots’n’blues)
Alex Guitar is a musician with great experience in the world of the blues. He gave form to one of the most interesting projects in Spain called Algeciras Blues Express with two works of great quality: Algeciras Blues Express and Garantia de Origen, published by the Andalusian label Cambayà Records.
At that time, among many other things, we can highlight his contribution to the mythical band Caledonia Blues Band from their beginning, he also worked with the English band Short Fuse.
Afterwards he founded the Bluster Club, in his home town. A multitude of blues band played at this club, as much national as international in its almost eleven years of existance, they also programmed other styles of music, always minority.
At this time Alex gave a free reign to an idea that had been going through his head for some years, to go deeper into the roots of North American music and the blues (roots ‘ n blues) and with this proposal he presents this first edition of the International Week of Cinema and music in Huelva (SICYM), in which are compiled the warm sounds of the Mississippi Delta.
